Adobe recommends that you to deploy Adobe XD in a logged off machine state. This ensures that Adobe XD is made available to any user who logs into the machine. 1 Upvote.

XD will continue to be available as part of our Adobe Creative Cloud All Apps subscription. We will continue to support existing Adobe XD customers.

Nov 23, 2017 · Select "Other Versions". Then select Install. Once the install completes, XD can be launched by clicking the XD icon in the Creative Cloud app, or by clicking the down arrow next to the "Update" button, and choosing "Open". If "Update" is clicked, you will be updated to XD 3.0.

Oct 15, 2018 · I solved this by reinstalling microsoft's "App Installer" from microsoft store (it comes with windows, but many "things" come with windows so probably many users just think it is bloatware and remove it on a fresh install) , this allowed XD installer to install the appx files mentioned in the log and finish installing successfully.
