However, he is supposedly an even worse driver.
Mar 30, 2021 · Pietro Fittipaldi Additional comment actions He didn't drive a f1 car for a year, yet he didn’t spin, didn’t cause accidents, and kept a pace similar to Magnussen.Pietro only had a Lock up, which is perfectly normal, especially in Haas cars.He is a professional driver, who does not disappoint and who, with time and practice, can become a good driver.
Pietro did a good job this weekend He was the team player to Kevin, giving him the tow in qualy. He finished on pace slightly behind Magnusson He drove cleanly, didn't damage the car and brought it back in one piece. Given the pace of the car you can't exactly ask for much more

Feb 19, 2021 · Fittipaldi as with most reserve / test drivers at back end teams is paying to have his name associated with F1 and get some drives in cars on Fridays or in case a driver happens to be out - and even in case of the latter it's not guaranteed, if we ask Vandoorne.
Ironically, neither does Pietro unless he's been granted an exemption. He was, I believe, 4 points away from one last year but the majority of his points expired at the end of 2019. I'm sure this has already been cleared by the FIA and he's got an exemption or something but lack of a superlicense isn't what is keeping Mazepin and Schumacher out of the seat.
