Aug 16, 2024 · Faculty Spotlight: Cristin Gordon. By Abby Leyson. Before taking on the role of Executive Assistant to the Head of School, Cristin Gordon was a local contractor who worked at Westover as a part time dance instructor in January 2017.
Westover’s Orchard Ceremony, which happens the day before Graduation each year, is a tradition begun in the school’s earliest days to recognize the interscholastic athletic achievements of the three spirit teams (Wests, Overs, and Seniors) who, at the time, competed fiercely throughout the year.

Westover has partnered with IIG (Invest in Girls) which is a program of the Council for Economic Education with the goal of ushering in a new generation of financially literate students and increasing the number of women working in finance.
Oct 11, 2020 · This summer, Westover, like many independent schools, heard the voices of Black students and alumnae become amplified around the important matters of social justice, equity, and antiracism. Part of Westover’s immediate call to action was the decision to create the role of Chief Strategic Inclusion Officer.
Now more than ever the world needs Westover, a school community with a commitment to belonging and justice as well as a long and rich history of educating young women to be confident and connected. I am inspired to lead a school community built on one powerful mission—to empower young women to lead lives of consequence.
