Dr. Ursula Franklin continues tochampion peace, social justice and human rights in the world. Sheassumes an influential role in our students' education in reference to her books, The Ursula Franklin Reader: Pacifism as a Map, and The Real World of Technology.
On Wednesdays, students select up to 24 mini-courses from hundreds of offerings throughout the year. Some examples include: Robotics, Debating, Sewing, Yoga, Birding and many other wonderful opportunities for skill-based learning and “out of the box” experiences.
Oct 24, 1995 · Ursula Franklin Academy began as a dream in the early 1990s. Trustees of the former Toronto Board of Education looked with excitement at the possibility of re-opening a school in the west end of Toronto with a special mission and unique character.
