Faculty of Foreign Languages. Students are taught in four departments (English, German, French and Chinese). Since the end of XIX century in Tomsk State University appeared the first paleontological collections, comprising the present "gold" fund of the Museum of Paleontology. These collections were transferred to the first Siberian University at the time of its inception (1878) by the various patrons.
On July 10, 2017, the Institute of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science (IPMKN) was formed on the basis of the Faculty of Computer Science and the Faculty of Applied Mathematics and Cybernetics of TSU.
