To maintain and strengthen the algebra skills developed in Math I, students apply algebra to their study of geometry. Students are also introduced to ideas of vectors and parametric equations. In the accelerated level, students study geometric transformations and begin their study of trigonometric functions.
College Counseling at Spence is a comprehensive program that builds in extensive individual and family guidance throughout every stage of Upper School.
Complete your preliminary application: Submit your by December 13, 2024. The application fee of $85 is automatically waived for families applying for Financial Aid. This is a group tour of the Middle and Upper School campus led by our Red Door Ambassadors. Tours are approximately 40 minutes.
Second Act, Spence's signature after-school program, is open to students in Kindergarten through Grade 6. Second Act’s activity-based classes are held Monday through Friday. Second Act is a co-ed program open to Spence students and their siblings as well as children of Spence faculty and staff.
The Upper School music curriculum allows students a variety of performance opportunities along with a class that explores the elements of Jazz. Students have the chance to further learn about the world of music from diverse historical, theoretical and performance perspectives.
