Mar 11, 2020 · Most of the adverts in the Preston newspapers at that time are for the Farington Ladies College, Blackpool. There is also the Glendower Ladies College, St. Annes on Sea, can't see any for colleges in Preston.
It might totally be wrong. I received my Mom's birth certificate yesterday. It indicated her address was 50 Preston Road, Tynemouth. So I happily Googled it to find where it was, and found that it was a fictitious address and that it meant the person (my Mom) was born in a workhouse. This would have been in 1924.

I've checked Preston Street, 1841 and 1851, no sign of Robert or Eliza, so I would imagine they had both died by then.
