You can find flats around the university faculties starting at 250-300€. Flats in the city centre usually are around 350-400€ for something really really decent. (I live 3 minutes by bike from the faculty in a 400€ per month room, 15sqm, with 2 other students and we have a 143sqm2 flat in total with 2 bathrooms).

Jun 1, 2016 · Groningen has got better nightlife than Maastricht apparently. I am a second year law student at Maastricht university. The student life is alright for such a small city. You can however travel to many big cities (Brussels, Liege etc) easily. The Faculty itself is good.

At Maastricht, for example, you'll have to learn European Union law (as the regular LLB is taught in Dutch). After which you'll need to complete an LLM. Thus, you'll need at minimum 4 years of education. The same is true at Groningen. You'll only really be learning European Union law.
