Apr 11, 2024 · college of engineering and technology (autonomous) LICET – a centre of global learning, is an academic collaboration between Loyola College Society (LCS) and Institut catholique d’arts et métiers (ICAM), France and guided by the Jesuit pedagogy of education.
LICET has been a consistent player for the past two years in the list of campus placement records among private institutions in India. It is proud that its graduates are highly rated by employers from industry and commerce in the private and public sectors.
The Computer Science and Engineering department at Loyola College, Chennai, established in 2010 through a partnership between Loyola College Society (LCS) and ICAM, France, focuses on providing technical education to the underserved communities.
It is in this context that Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET) has taken shape in Loyola College Campus (Chennai) which is located in the heart of Chennai cosmopolitan city in South India.

Loyola-ICAM College of Engineering and Technology (LICET), is affiliated to Anna University. It is housed in Loyola Campus, Nungambakkam, Chennai and it is the only engineering college that belongs to the Jesuits in Tamil Nadu.
Mission & Vision. The primary aim of the College is to provide University education in a Christian atmosphere to deserving students, especially those belonging to the Catholic Christian Community. Although this college is meant primarily for Catholics, it does admit other students irrespective of their caste and creed.
Engineering Education is one of the four ‘pillars’ of LICET’s education program, along with Academic formation, Holistic formation and International Exposure. Engineering Education aims to stimulate students’ high interest in learning by giving them a clear vision of what is Engineering.
