There will be two attendance options - A talk by the Co-Headteachers first, followed by a tour (enter the school via Tetherdown at 4pm), or the other way around, a tour first followed by the Co-Headteachers' talk (enter the school via Creighton Avenue at 4pm).

  6. Our School Day. Each day is divided into five one-hour teaching periods. Weekly assemblies and daily tutor periods address a variety of social, cultural and organisational issues. Supervised by staff, break and lunchtimes are for meeting with friends, having a meal and getting some fresh air.

    Fortismere is a high-attaining, mixed foundation secondary school in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London. Our school is set in 20 acres, allowing students the advantage of an unusually spacious site and supporting Fortismere’s sporting excellence.

  9. Sixth Form. We have an outstanding, popular and welcoming Sixth Form, with students joining us from a wide geographical area. From 2018, our students will study three A level subjects from the beginning of Year 12, with some students additionally taking an EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) and a few, Further Mathematics, as a fourth A level.

  10. SCHOOL Catering. Fortismere has two canteens, one in North Wing and one in South Wing. There is also a small cafe area in the Sixth Form block, which serves drinks and snacks to students in Years 12 and 13. The canteens are open at break and lunch.
