Boone Pickens Stadium (previously known as Lewis Field) has been home to the Oklahoma State University Cowboys football team in rudimentary form since 1919, and as a complete stadium since 1920. Aligned in an east-west direction since 1920, the field is the oldest in the Big 12 Conference .

Nov 29, 2022 · STILLWATER – Upgrades to the fan experience are coming to Oklahoma State's Boone Pickens Stadium. With the conclusion of the 2022 home football season, Oklahoma State Athletics is beginning a multi-year, $55 million upgrade to the seating bowl of the stadium.
This renovation will keep the overall vision of Boone Pickens Stadium intact, marrying the north, west and south seating sections, and maintaining the existing 100, 200 and 300 level seating bowl levels.

The new bleachers will have wider seating areas with more leg room, plus additional aisles in the middle of sections to increase the ease of getting to and from seats. The changes will once again reduce the capacity of the stadium, though it is too early to know just how much.
