A flechette or flèchette (/ fleɪˈʃɛt / fle-SHET) is a pointed, fin-stabilized steel projectile. The name comes from French flèchette (from flèche), meaning "little arrow" or "dart", and sometimes retains the grave accent in English: flèchette.
