Feb 23, 2022 · What's the point of doing this instead of using php tags?? It's not readable (looks like a comment), requires more typing, and may get broken with an update to the parsing system. Even if it has a point, it's not the answer to how to define a variable in a blade template.
Jul 10, 2015 · no, there is no way to define a variable with blade syntax except using the php syntax you have pointed. actually it is not a good practice to define variables in your views and do complex stuff except loops and conditional statements
You don't have to pass anything to blade. If you define your function, you can use it from blade. If you define your function, you can use it from blade. Create a new app/helpers.php file.

May 6, 2015 · Note: This blade directive @json is not available for old Laravel versions. You can achieve the same result using json_encode as described in other answers. Sometimes you don't need to pass a complete collection to the view, and just an array with 1 attribute.

You can create a helper file and then define methods which can be used globally, including the views. But in your case the ideal scenario would be to use a partial and then to include the partial with different parameters to change the properties. This would work exactly like a method, but cleaner and more aligned with views.
