  1. Open WhatsApp on your iPhone primary phone. Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices > Link a Device. Unlock your iPhone if you’re on iOS 14 or above: Use Touch ID or Face ID to unlock. If you don’t have biometric authentication enabled, you’ll be prompted to enter the PIN you use to unlock your phone.

  2. Linked devices provide a reliable, secure way to access WhatsApp from any of your devices. You can stay connected by linking up to four devices at a time to your primary phone. You’ll still need your primary phone to register your WhatsApp account and link new devices.

  3. You can link a device using your primary account phone number and a one-time code. Up to four linked devices can be linked without the need to keep your primary phone connected.   7. Link an Android tablet to your phone. Open WhatsApp on your Android tablet. Open WhatsApp on your phone. Android: Tap > Linked devices. iPhone: Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices. Scan the QR code on your Android tablet screen to capture the code.

  8. Check your linked devices regularly. Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices to review all devices linked to your account. To log out of a linked device, tap the device > Log Out. We’ll also automatically disconnect linked devices after 30 days of inactivity.

  9. Android primary phone: Tap > Linked devices > Link a device. iPhone primary phone: Go to WhatsApp Settings > Linked Devices > Link a Device. Unlock your primary phone. If your device has biometric authentication, follow the on-screen instructions.

  10. iPhone: Go to WhatsApp Settings. Tap Linked Devices. Tap a device > Log Out. Repeat these steps for all linked devices.
