Python Quickstart. Python is an interpreted programming language, this means that as a developer you write Python (.py) files in a text editor and then put those files into the python interpreter to be executed. The way to run a python file is like this on the command line: C:\Users\ Your Name>python helloworld.py.

The range () Function. To loop through a set of code a specified number of times, we can use the range () function, The range () function returns a sequence of numbers, starting from 0 by default, and increments by 1 (by default), and ends at a specified number.
The terms parameter and argument can be used for the same thing: information that are passed into a function. From a function's perspective: A parameter is the variable listed inside the parentheses in the function definition. An argument is the value that is sent to the function when it is called.
