The growth has been phenomenal and the centre now caters to over 600 children through its various programmes.This centre caters to the slum at Harijan Basti, Ambedkar Vihar, Sector 37, Noida. The residents consist of mainly tenants who are migrants from various places of the country.
Ms. Supriya Akhaury is the Founder Trustee and Director of Vidya & Child. The organisation, which started with two children, is now reaching out to over 1800 children across 5 locations. She volunteers full time to the organisation and manages the overall functioning of the organisation.

Despite facing many challenges, Vidya & Child has always remained committed to diligently follow a process-driven, child-centric approach & endeavoured to provide education, encouragement as well as opportunities for holistic development of each child.
Our centre at Khoda Village in Sector 62 was started in 2007. It reaches out to children of the Khoda Village. This is a heavily populated area mainly with low income group families. There are also many migratory and casual laborers.
Sports. Students of Vidya & Child regularly take part in various external sports competitions and events. Recently, Vidya & Child has also introduced an Annual Sports Day that is held internally, where students of all centres participate in different sports activities. KARATE.
