If not, in Word, go to File - Options, on the left, click Trust Center, on the right click Trust Center Settings. Turn off the 3 options in Protected View, click OK. On the top bar of Microsoft WOrd, with the document open, do you see 'Compatibility Mode'. If you do, re-save the document and make sure the 'Save as Type drop down is set to 'Word Document .docx' Then open the new .docx document and see if it is editable . . . Power to the Developer!

Aug 19, 2017 · In OneNote 2016 (I think it is same in 2013...) go to Insert tab > Files group > File Printout to get the PDF into One Note. Then right click on it and select Copy text from This Page / All Pages of the Printout. This copies the text to the clipboard. You can paste it into OneNote or directly into Word for editing .

First, if this only occurs within a single document, the Office button, Prepare menu item has a Mark as Final option which marks the current document as Read Only. So this is an issue you should be raising with the developer of the app that generates the file. Always fix the problem as far upstream as you can get.

Aug 20, 2019 · I cannot edit part of my document - it is a first page with a lot of formating/style. Other parts of the document can be edited normally. Here is a picture of section I am unable to edit: Note that I tried different browser, different system, I tried to reupload the file, make copy of it but the behavior is still the same.
