For Online payment, booking is possible till the final chart for the train is prepared; this is normally 4 hours before the train's scheduled departure. However, sometimes railways do prepare the chart the night before the train's departure, especially in the case of early morning trains.
If you will click on the class in the train list then it will show the train details with availability. To book tickets, click on "Book Now" button under availability option.
If you wish to know the route and the timings, click on Train Schedule link. To select the train from the train list, click on the type of class available in the selected train. The fare appearing is for a single adult passenger. To book e-ticket in the selected train, click on “Book Now” button.

You have to select the Tatkal check box in the 'Plan my travel' page along with other details for booking tatkal ticket. For some trains/class/locations Tatkal quota maynot be available. Please check the availability before proceeding further.
