How to set up alerts. Alerts can be created on data series, indicator plots, strategy orders and drawing objects. Alerts on data series are independent of the time intervals, while alerts for studies, strategies and drawings do depend on the interval because it’s taken into account when calculating indicators. Here are the steps to set up an alert: Open the chart for the security you want to set an alert for. Click on the “Alert” button located at the top of the chart. Choose the condition that will trigger the alert, such as price crossing a specific level or an indicator reaching a certain value.
