For me, Ombre Leather definitely captures a kind of authentic leather smell — the purses available at Macy's, say — but isn't especially close to the smell of more robust or raw leather products that is more the domain of something like Naomi Goodsir Corpus Equus. Which is fine. And the original OL has a nice chocolatey, fruity backbone to it that makes it smooth and appealing.
