This is easily one of the most popular interview questions and usually the most difficult questions to answer for a lot of different reasons: 1) It is one of the first question and you are nervous. 2) It is extremely open-ended. 3) It forces you to talk about yourself which is awkward.

I'm preparing for my first med interview and one of the most common interview questions is "tell me about yourself." The reason why interviewers would ask this question is to presumably get an overview of who you are and if you have traits desirable for a future doctor.
Jun 1, 2015 · There are good things online that are questions that you can write/think answers to in order to help you have answers ready to the kind of stuff they will ask. 1) why medicine. 2) why this specialty. 3) what unique skill/talents/interests you have that make you and medicine/specialty well suited for one another.

Mar 29, 2011 · Jun 6, 2013. #2. "Tell us about yourself" opening question: I never "sold myself" too much in this response. I didn't really even tie my interests steadfastly to the school this early. This was a question where I made an honest effort to show that I am a "person" too.
