I'm preparing for my first med interview and one of the most common interview questions is "tell me about yourself." The reason why interviewers would ask this question is to presumably get an overview of who you are and if you have traits desirable for a future doctor.

  9. Mar 29, 2011 · Jun 6, 2013. #2. "Tell us about yourself" opening question: I never "sold myself" too much in this response. I didn't really even tie my interests steadfastly to the school this early. This was a question where I made an honest effort to show that I am a "person" too.
