Students-Undergraduate Research Graduate Excellence (SURGE) program is an internship Program of IIT Kanpur, which runs under the aegis of Office of Outreach Activities (OOA), IIT Kanpur. SURGE program was launched and inaugurated on 8 May 2006 by Professor Sanjay G. Dhande, the then Director, IIT Kanpur.
Step-1: Register for SURGE 2024 (i) Register through the online portal LINK: LINK (ii) There are three categories: IITK: Only IITK Students can apply. NON-IITK: Only Indian students from various Indian Institution can apply. SAARC: Only students of SAARC countries (from Nepal, Bhutan) can apply. (iii) Complete the registration form in all respects.
SURGE for IIT Kanpur (IITK) students: Under this program, IITK students with CPI >= 5.5 are given an opportunity to work with a chosen mentor at IITK.
