Remote Play seems to require at least one of the two players to use a controller instead of a keyboard. How can I, and a friend, both use our own keyboards respectively as player 1 and player 2, in games? Details: Whenever one of us activates remote play, our keyboards input become shared when it's allowed and we both are "player 1", which stops us from being able to play together. It makes remote play unusable if neither of us can or want to use a controller instead of a keyboard.

Remote Play Together. Launch your game. Make sure your friend is logged in to Steam from a supported device. Open your Steam Overlay in-game (Shift+Tab). From your friends list, right-click your friend and select 'Remote Play Together'. Once your friend accepts the invite, they will be in-game with you.
Mar 10, 2023 · The setting is just off by default! Have the host open Steam Overlay (Shift+Tab by default) and look in the Remote Play window. Click the Keyboard button underneath the player that you want to give keyboard control to (circled in red). When it lights up, that player should now have control of the keyboard.
