Dec 21, 2020 · Two of my games are now crashing almost immediately after launching, Ark: Survival Evolved and Star Wars Battlefront 2 (2017). They both have worked perfectly fine in the past, no issue. Now, when I hit play on either of the games, they crash. Only those two games though, first Ark, then BF2 about a week later.
Oct 29, 2014 · When the game freezes, can you do the following: Press ctrl-alt-delete to get task manager and note the PID of the game process. Open a command prompt window. Run in the window: cd "\Program Files (x86)\Steam". Run in the window (replace [pid] with the game pid): WriteMinidump.exe [pid] gamehang.mdmp.

May 15, 2024 · (I have Steam installed on a 4 TB hard drive - Drive C is an NVME drive and the installer happily installed on the hard drive. The game would load and run fine directly from the hard drive only slowing down after several hours of playtime.) I copied the entire installation to the NVME drive C in the same path as the game installed on D: drive.

Jul 25, 2021 · Nvidia Control Panel -> Help -> Enable debug mode ->. Manage 3D Settings -> Power Management Mode -> Prefer Maximum Performance. Suddenly, everything works again. Running my unity shovelware before this was maxing out my GPU for about 5 seconds before the game crashed. Now, they barely hit 15%.

I've got a Ryzen 5 3600, 32GB RAM, and RX 6700XT and I've got no issues. Update doubled my fps. I can play the game at 1080p ultra with raytracing now and my fps is 80 - 100. Never dips below 70.
So when I attempt to launch the game, the game starts for about a second or two and then immediately crashes afterwards. It does not produce a log file in the config folder for this game. I'm running an I5-7500 with 8GB of ram, more then enough to run this game. I have also ran plenty of unity3d games on this computer before. And I am up to date on software. I'm running the recommended nvidia driver version 460.

Nov 4, 2019 · Remote play client crashes after loading for a few seconds. The client opens after about 30 seconds after clicking play, then the loading screen is shown. Sound plays and the loading wheel spins until suddenly the sounds starts lagging and then stops, and then the loading wheel stops too. Afterwards the client will force close. I have found a work around. If the host alt+tab's as soon as the sound starts lagging, and then tabs back in after about 5 seconds, the game will load properly.
