Mar 19, 2023 · I recently got a dm on disc asking if i got hacked on steam, I went over to check and saw nothing out of the usual but when I went to my Steam DMS, I saw there was one link that was sent saying "sup, gift steam $50 balance for you, just claim it" with a link of a supposedly link telling him to redeem it.
New Scam. Compromised account sending $50 "gifts" to people. The link seems to be legit but I'm not going to attempt to drill in more since, tired.
Scammers are writing on Discord with a warning that your account will be banned, because someone reported it by mistake. They want you to buy... a $50 Steam Gift card from G2A to "verify" your payment method. I don't know how they take advantage of this, because I stopped at this moment.
