Oct 15, 2020 · It doesn't seem to show up in any of the online Seiko reference ID sites. At the bottom of the dial it has 5M22-7C00 (I think) and on the back it has 5M22-7A60 on the case back. The serial number is 3D0699. I believe the movement reference is 5M22 right? Would a movement from any other 5M22 watch be a suitable replacement?

Feb 12, 2022 · I had the last movement model 5M65 in my Landmaster and after 7 years, the thing needs to be charged on my Seiko Kinetic Energy Supplier once a week for a 3 hour charge. Then the battery started to leak thru into the dial so I just gave it up.

Feb 23, 2023 · I just changed the capacitor on a long "dead" Seiko kinetic with a 5M62A movement. It appears to be running fine and I set the exact time and date and so far it is spot on after about 24 hours. A few questions:
Like mechanical and quartz, Kinetic is a platform. Over the past 20 years,Seiko has created on this platform a suite of Kinetic movements, each bringing unique features to the consumer. It was at the 1986 Basel Fair that Seiko unveiled its first Kinetic prototype.
There’s a few different movements and depending on which one ya got it’ll dictate how long it takes to wind one down. Look at the movement code and google it, one of the first results will probably be a manual!
