Mar 11, 2021 · I have been asked to replicate data into power bi, when I ask what kind of visuals and charts they say no just a data table that they can export to excel. I think what they are actually after is updated datasets, rather than having to request a csv from our internal system (that takes 10-15 minutes to email you) they want to have the data quicker.

Mar 26, 2022 · Color look at site like https://www.colourlovers.com. Keep it simple Use few Colours. Use same colour for a measurement, like qty - blue. Amount -> Gray. If you compare stuff in a chart keep the current in a “darker” colour and the comparison in a lighter version of the same colour. Use a simple background.
Jan 15, 2022 · I typically change the page size to 1080p. Gives you more space without getting into odd sizing. Most monitors and TVs are either that or 4k now and anything 4k has upscalers for 1080p content. Most dashboards I keep default because the primary stakeholders like only two to three charts per page.

Apr 25, 2023 · 3. Keep a nice layouts, use a 12 or 8 column grid, align everything. Don't use red, green or yellow unless it has a status meaning. Better if you import a theme. PowerBI is very flexible on that end, the open canvas is very powerful, you need to use it wisely, or you'll end up with ugly excel spreadsheets.
