Aug 10, 2023 · To delete your account, you need to deactivate it. This tells Twitter you want to delete it. Deactivation will immediately remove your account (so people won’t see your profile or Tweets on the platform), but full deletion won’t happen until 30 days after deactivation. Here’s how to delete your Twitter account from a web browser:

- Open Twitter. Go to https://www.twitter.com/ in your browser. This will open your Twitter home page if you're logged into your Twitter account. If you aren't logged into your account, click.
- Click your profile image. This option is in the upper-right corner of the page. A drop-down menu will appear.
- Click "Settings and privacy". It's near the middle of the drop-down menu.
- Scroll all the way down and click "Deactivate my account". It's at the very bottom of the page. If you don't see this link at the bottom of the page, you haven't scrolled far enough down.
