I can give you a couple of definitions which might help: overall (adjective) = taking everything into account. overview (noun) = a general review or summary of a subject. Aug 20, 2014 · My understanding is that OVERALL means detailed description of the interventions and activities aimed at addressing the health problem. In the Oxford dictionary the definition of overall is including all things or people involved in a particular situation. OVERALL (adjective) Meaning: Involving only main features.

To me, it's acceptable. A "high-level overview" is one that doesn't cover details. It provides a very basic and general explanation or presentation of the material/subject.

UK English. Sep 6, 2010. #3. I prefer The Company in brief ("the" is normally written). I have mixed feelings about overview. I first met it as a student, when I could never decide whether it meant a survey (=review) or a summary. I think it can mean both these things. In BE I would not write Company's overview, but Company overview.
