I can give you a couple of definitions which might help: overall (adjective) = taking everything into account. overview (noun) = a general review or summary of a subject. To me, it's acceptable. A "high-level overview" is one that doesn't cover details. It provides a very basic and general explanation or presentation of the material/subject.

I first met it as a student, when I could never decide whether it meant a survey (=review) or a summary. I think it can mean both these things. In BE I would not write Company's overview, but Company overview.
