Oct 16, 2020 · Olympus Has Fallen makes its 4K bow in Germany as part of a "Fallen" Trilogy boxset with the two sequels, courtesy of Leonine Films, with no imminent UK (or US) 4K release on the horizon, and it feels like a bit of a Concorde / Iron Man Trilogy situation, with a half-hearted attempt at launching a title in 4K - and with Dolby Vision too - but not actually employing any kind of quality control on the end product.
Nov 9, 2020 · Olympus Has Fallen's Ultra HD Blu-ray release was a prime example of everything that could go wrong with a 4K release, overplaying its blacks with Netflix levels of Dolby Vision implementation, and absolutely destroying image integrity with heavy-handed DNR and subsequent sharpening. It was a contender for one of the worst 4K presentations in the history of the format.

Dec 13, 2019 · 2013's Olympus Has Fallen was an unexpectedly enjoyable R-rated Die-Hard-in-the-White-House effort but Butler's 2016 sequel, London Has Fallen, was something of a disappointing mess, and nowhere near as gloriously satisfying as its predecessor (think: Taken 2).

London has Fallen looked custom made to further bolster Gerard's somewhat uninspired acting career as he competes for box office ratings with fellow aging actors like Liam Neeson by playing mainly violent tough guy roles.
