Hostel & Mess. Residential facilities are provided to students in three boys’ hostels and two girls’ hostel. Presently, all the girls and many of the boys are accommodated in these hostels.
The annual technical fest of NIT Patna has become one of the biggest technical fest of the country. The last edition attracted participants from over 150 institutes from across the country, thus making it the largest technical fest of Bihar and Jharkhand.

Library. The Central library of the institute owns a vast stock of over 75,000 books catering to the needs of all the relevant fields of engineering. It has a resourceful stock of over 10,000 computer related books and clearly demarcated section for every engineering branch and architecture.
Institutes other than NIT Patna must have a PI/Co-PI from NIT Patna. Projects shall be of two types. (i) Short term projects for B.Tech. and M.Tech Students, of up to one year duration. (ii) Long term R & D projects (More than 1-year duration) preferably leading to Ph.D.
