May 24, 2022 · As the title says, I can't sign in to the nearby sharing feature on my Windows 11 machine with my personal account - which is what I am using to log in to Windows. When I try to sign in with my personal account, it says that I can't sign in with my personal account but need a work or school account instead (as shown in the attached image).

To do so you need to remove that account from your system, System > Accounts > Email & accounts ( and remove the accounts you want to ) Or if you have school email added. System > Accounts > Access work & School ( and remove the accounts you want to ) This should change the Nearby share default email.

May 22, 2023 · This is in the main settings screen and town a few tabs to ''Accounts''. Restart computer. Going forward, every time you sign into say your work email from outlook, it'll ask you to use this to login everywhere, or only this app. Always choose only this app, and you will never end up back here again.
Nov 22, 2023 · Nearby Share from Google app in Windows 11 doesn't currently support signing in with a Microsoft account. You can either use the app without an account or sign in with your Google account associated with your Android phone. Nov 11, 2022 · 2nd. Hello Akshat, this is Emily. Currently the nearby sharing from Windows doesn't support sharing between Windows and Android. It is strictly among Windows PCs only. You can do nearby sharing via the Office 365 apps, but that's strictly among Android devices. Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site.
