Feb 7, 2021 · I recorded video with a Canon R6 in 10-bit C-Log for the first time. Prior to this, I always recorded in 8-bit without a problem. Windows 10 does not recognize the files and I am unable to properly import them to my editing app (DaVinci Resolve 16). Explorer does not display thumbnails of the video clips; only generic video "clapboard" icons.
On the left-hand side, click on the "Turn Windows features on or off" link. This will open the Windows Features window. Scroll down the list of features and locate "Media Features" or "Media Player." Expand the section by clicking on the "+" symbol next to it. Uncheck the box next to "Windows Media Player" to remove the checkmark.
