Jan 29, 2020 · I am experiencing a bug where after the first few seconds of a story cutscene it drops from 60fps to 30fps and then holds there till the end. (If you go by the first cutscene it is right when the first lightning strikes). My PC specs are on my Steam profile and I can run the game at max settings otherwise, benchmark is 58fps min/60fps average.
Spoilers. Just got the PC version, and the movies in the story mode are not playing. I thought the game had locked up as i just got a black screen on starting the story, but when i press the 'escape' key the menu appears and I can skip the cutscene.

May 25, 2021 · Cutscenes are not playing smoothly. I watch the first 2 minutes of the game for the fourth time now but still cant figure out how to fix this. The video stumbles every 10 sec and its super annoying.
Sep 17, 2020 · The header for the *.scx files says they use x264 Codec. So just open these files with any player that has the x264 Codec (VLC for example) and you can enjoy some of the cutscenes without opening the game. Some cutscenes even include some meta data from the scene itself (see screenshot below).

to solve the missing cutscene from story. open the ''steam_emu.ini'' from folder where MK11 is installed. remove this line ''1461160=4K Cinematic Pack (Mortal Kombat 11 4K Cinematic Pack)'' or put this # to disable 4K pack DLC. DONE. I closed the game, reinserted the disc, then it worked.
