Dec 6, 2019 · The Sony XBR55 does have miracast and the manual instructs the user to select screen mirroring. So I do that and, the best I can tell, its waiting for a connection. On the lap top go to: Settings -> Devices -> Add Device. Ok, I do that, my computer tells me connected, and the name matches the TV.

My tv has miracast built in and I can cast videos via my tablet/phone directly, but I have to leave device powered on and cannot use it for anything else. So I just use the chromecast instead, and can use device as I wish, or put in standby etc, saving battery resources etc.

23 Nov 2016 #1. Miracast not working on AMD laptop. I am using an HP AMD Pavilion g6 laptop (kill me now) and I am trying to wirelessly cast my screen to my Samsung 6 Series TV. The TV supports WiFi Direct. When I press WinKey + K and select my TV, it says "Connecting" and then "Disconnecting" followed by a few screen flashes.
