The behavior I observed was that I was stuck at a downloaded image. However, if I clicked on the Bing icon in the system tray, *BOOM*!, my wallpaper was now Canyon Lake and my history showed only one other image. Simultaneously, in that data directory, I saw only the five most recent images.
