a) Advance Booking shall be done only through Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board's (SMVDSB) Official website i.e. www.maavaishnodevi.org and Mobile Application i.e. "Mata Vaishnodevi". Booking shall be made available to the pilgrims 60 (Sixty) days in advance and closed before 02 (Two) days.
The aerial ropeway from the Bhawan to Bhairon ji mandir is fully operational. The operating times are 9 am to 5 pm. A pilgrim has to get registered for the Yatra & collect RFID based Yatra Access Card. Pilgrims can travel from Katra to Bhawan or can use facilities of Helicopter or Battery Cars.

The most important activity that a pilgrim has to undertake on reaching Katra is getting registered for the Yatra. Yatra Registration is carried out at the Yatri Registration counter (YRC) near the Bus Stand Katra.Yatra Registration is also possible online.
Self service is the motto at all Shrine Board outlets, hence no room or table service is provided. On arrival at Bhawan, obtain the group number at the Yatra slip check post to get into the queue for Darshans. Proceed for Darshans only when the Group number is announced and avoid crowding for Darshans at Gate No.1.
