Show your current location in Maps on Mac. Maps uses your location to help you find directions from where you are to where you want to go, and shows you businesses, restaurants, and other places of interest that are nearby. Allow Maps to use your location.
In the Maps app on your Mac, click the Current Location button in the toolbar. A dot appears on the map at your location.

Dec 10, 2020 · Navigating the Maps app. Apple moved a few options around from the last version for viewing your map. The toolbar at the top has handy buttons for your current location, map view (default, transit, satellite), 3D, Look Around, directions, adding a tab, and sharing a map.
