Oct 23, 2016 · From my point of view, I choose are as I think "looks" is a plural noun. Em. The term is, indeed, a plural noun: looks. So it would be "looks are" ... Your sentence should read. Their pale and colourless look is not liked by slender girls. you want to use "look" since it is the "type of look" or appearance of somebody that is being described.
Dec 4, 2018 · You definitely need 'look', not 'looks', with a plural subject. 'Kind of' is not grammatically wrong, but it is a poor word choice. Better would be: All the rocks look much the same.

Dec 4, 2010 · There are 2 different meanings here (not my fault: blame English): looks and a look. "Her looks are perfect" means "her appearance is perfect: she is beautiful". It cannot be singular, and cannot be used with "is". "Her look " describes a specific look (a specific style) that she is trying to create, using clothing, hair style, makeup, etc.
