Jan 13, 2023 · You could edit your computer’s hosts file to interpret old domain requests as localhost (IP 127.0.0.1) requests. Then you needn’t change any DB data. The drawback is you’ll no longer be able to access the real old domain site from that computer, unless you remove the hosts entry.
hostname will usually be localhost. If you don’t know what this value should be, check with your system administrator if you are not the admin for your WordPress host. If you are the system admin, consider using a non-root account to administer your database.
