May 18, 2023 · From this menu, we set Adjust Contrast to '85', left the Black Level at '50', and set Peak Brightness to 'High'. A Gamma (Adjust Brightness) setting of 2.2 is closest to the 2.2 gamma we target for a moderately-lit room. We also left Auto Dynamic Contrast disabled and the Video Range set to 'Auto'. Turn off all AI processing, eco mode and all power saving settings, change the color temp to warm 50, color to 55, 80-85 oled backlight for sdr or 100 for hdr/dv, the new enhanced setting can up brightness or detail (brightness in hdr adds a bit more kick).
Even relatively small differences in the common control settings, such as Contrast, Brightness (which is actually Black level), and Gamma, can shift the white balance, though the resulting visible change may be minor.
- Avoid the AI Picture Pro and AI Sound Pro features. As part of the C3 and G3's first-time set-up, you'll be asked whether you want to enable the AI Picture Pro and/or AI Sound Pro features.
- Make sure you're using the latest software. While the C3/G3 will tell you about the built-in auto-update setting at the end of the first-time set-up process, it won't necessarily immediately download and install the latest software, which requires a restart of the TV.
- Switch to Filmmaker Mode. Out of the box, your new C3 or G3 will be in its Auto Power Save mode, which unfortunately isn't great for picture quality. We recommend that you instead switch to the Filmmaker Mode preset.
- Reduce Sharpness. In Filmmaker Mode, Sharpness is set to 10 (out of 50) by default. That’s a very subtle amount of added sharpening, but it is still added sharpening.

Aug 13, 2023 · The brightest mode for SDR (Vivid) is horribly inaccurate. For the accurate results listed above on the G3, I used ISF Expert Bright picture mode.
