Sep 27, 2021 · Leslie Benzies was the lead developer and producer of every GTA. You might recognize his name because it appears first in the ending credits of all GTAs (the main ones at least). He was forced out of Rockstar in 2014 by Sam Houser and ended up suing Take Two Interactive for unpaid royalties worth hundreds of millions.
Sep 25, 2020 · benzies was the mister fix it at rockstar. From what I've read over the years, a lot of the games we now love were in rough shape until benzies would come in and make them good. Wow, sounds neat. Gta online was also his baby, for context. Eww, nevermind.
Dec 28, 2019 · After Leslie Benzies got fired, GTA Online suddenly hasn't gotten many updates like back in 2013. And red dead online, it's new and it does not even have that many updates. So I think Leslie Benzies is the reason why GTA Online got a lot of huge updates before he got fired.
Apr 8, 2018 · Leslie Benzies was not officially part of Red Dead Redemption for most of it. Sam Houser's infamous "I need The Benz" email, begging him to help finish it, was sent only six months before the game was released. Up until then Benzies would have been busy with the GTA IV episodes and presumably trying to get Agent going.
The culture at rockstar seemed really toxic back then. Im not sure if things have changed recently (even if rockstar said they did) but yeah. Although watch out cause Dan and Leslie are coming back! Leslie is making a new game called everywhere which seems to be a sort metauniverse game. A platform if you will. That doesnt really interest me.
Dec 26, 2023 · This disagreement reached a breaking point resulting in Leslie Benzies leaving the company in mid-2014, Alongside him, a large number of the developers who were working on GTA 5’s Expansions left the company alongside him, pausing the work on the DLCs indefinitely as Rockstar got to hiring new devs and training them to work with RAGE.
Aug 20, 2022 · Leslie Benzies is the responsible of all the GTA coding, and the designer of GTA Online. So yea, he knows how to code. It's Sam and Dan Houser the ones that have no idea about coding. It's not going to be like GTA, because that's not the goal.

Nov 20, 2017 · Leslie benzies has worked on all the big projects that we've come to love. Gta 3, vice city, san andreas, gta 4, gta 5, red dead redemption. To have such an experienced game producer, removed from the company. There might be some big changes. This will be the first big game without leslie benzies involvement.
Sep 3, 2017 · Okay, this is bullshit. Leslie Benzies didn't oversee amazing updates and rich content for GTA Online. Heists was the first update that wasn't just a gun/car/clothes/car pack. That's it. That's the only update you could argue that was great under his watch.
