Dec 29, 2022 · I try to download the URL Rewrite 2.1 and install it. When I check it under Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Programs and Features it shows same version as yours. Only difference I notice is the size of the installation. As the version is same, it looks like you are having the latest version of the URL Rewrite module.
Sep 21, 2016 · I just finished building up a new web server (2k8 x64) and have installed 'URL Rewrite' and 'Application Request Routing' but noticed that the 'URL Rewrite' option in IIS Manager is missing. I messed around for a little while by re-installing both modules repeatedly and in different ways and then gave up.

Find uninstall string and run it. It will remove rewrite module and you can install from scratch. Install Application Request Routing module for IIS. IMPORTANT! If you already have web.config with rules remove them. Create/add rules via IIS menu. This way IIS will activate ARP module that is important.

Sep 13, 2022 · I've seen folks talk about 7.2.1993, 7.2.2, 7.2.3, etc., however when I go to the iis.net rewrite page and download the 64 bit version, the version of the dll is 7.1.1933.2531. Not 7.2.1993, etc. Does anyone have a definitive version matrix of IIS URLRewrite and which ones are Rewrite 2.0 and 2.1?
