Hello it happens to me to. Is back all of a sudden, by itself without any reset or anything done. Fingerprint scanner also went missing for me, but a total reset didn't do anything. So i guess it's either at trip to the repair shop or now it's time to upgrade my 3 year old phone.

Then choose to deactivate the screen password and restart the mobile. If you are lucky you have fingerprint option after this, if not than repeat the procedure a couple of times.
So I have a p30 pro, about two weeks ago my fingerprint scanner disappeared.. in biometrics and password there isn't a selection for fingerprint scanner. It's only. Facial recognition. Change lock screen password Disable lock screen password. Secure lock settings Smart lock settings. I've restarted plenty of times as well as updated my software.
May 25, 2016 · Tunn off phone hold down power and volume Up and Down together for 10 seconds. It will start in hardware control mode presss power button and phone will restart. This should clear the fault. This worked, same problem fingerprint options disappeared, won't scan, tried restarting the phone multiple times.
P30 Pro New Edition fingerprint has disappeared from my phone completely, its not even in settings! Was working fine a few days ago and now isn't anywhere on my phone, all my apps say setting have changed so reverted back to old login options.
