Mar 30, 2020 · Replied on March 30, 2020. If you just hit the Print screen key it goes to the clipboard. If you hold down the Windows key and hit the Print screen key it goes to File Explorer\Pictures\Screenshots. The better thing to use is the Snip & Sketch app found in All apps. With this you can mark it up before you save it.

Sep 10, 2019 · This will zoom the WIndows to frame it properly and should remember how it's set. For the overall System you can change type and objects by changing the Scaling in Settings > System > Display. If 125% is too big, change it to a Custom scaling around 112-1118% is usually good.
Dec 1, 2016 · The key does *not* print the screen. PrtScrn captures the whole screen, and Alt-PrtScrn captures the active window. Either one captures the image to the Windows clipboard. Once it's in the clipboard you can paste (Ctrl-V) it into any application that supports graphics (Windows Paint, other graphics programs, even your favorite word processor).

May 11, 2016 · Some programs like OneDrive, Dropbox, Snipping tool can take over the Print Screen key. Alternately, try: ALT + PrintScreen - Open Paint and paste the image from clipboard. WinKey + PrintScreen -This saves teh screenshot to a PNG file in Pictures\Screenshots folder. Use Fn + WinKey + PrintScreen for laptops. See also:
In Windows, all that the "Print Scrn" button does is to copy the screen (or some portion of it: ALT+Print Scrn captures the active window) to the Clipboard. You then have to Paste from the Clipboard to any application that recognizes graphics (e.g., Microsoft Paint) and use that application to print in the usual manner. -----.
May 17, 2018 · Windows 10 has two built-in methods for capturing screenshots: 1- The Snipping Tool saves screenshots to wherever you tell it to save. 2- The PrintScreen key (PrtScrn) on your keyboard saves a screenshot of the entire screen to the clipboard; while the ALT+PrtScrn key combination saves a screenshot of the currently active window to the clipboard.
