I like a bunch of aspects of GTA IV better, such as the darker story and more immersive city, but overall I find GTA V handles so much better as a game, which makes it far more fun to play for me than GTA IV, which just feels clunky in comparison.

GTA IV's airport is based on LaGuardia which has 7,000 foot runways, and GTA V's airport is based on LAX which has runways ranging from 8,900 feet to 12,000 feet. Runways are not an accurate way to scale the map because we have no idea how long they are.
