NAPS2 SDK is a free and open source scanning library for C#/.NET. Scan with devices from Canon, Brother, HP, Epson, Fujitsu, and more. Then save to PDF, TIFF, JPEG, or PNG.
NAPS2 has a batch scanning feature to automate some scanning tasks. Under the "Scan" dropdown you can click "Batch Scan". Scan Configuration. Once you choose a profile, you can select whether you want a single scan or multiple scans. "Single scan": A single operation of the scanner - for a feeder, that could be many pages.
On the computer the scanner is connected to, you can open the "Scanner Sharing" window from the "Profiles" window (or the "Scan" dropdown). Click the "Share" button. Select the scanning device that you want to share.
Enabling OCR. Once the download is complete, you'll see the "OCR Setup" window. Verify that "Make PDFs searchable using OCR" is checked (and that you have the right language selected), and every PDF you save from now on will have OCR'd text.

At least one of these options must be specified for scanning. -o, --output {path} Specifies the path, name, and extension of the output file to save. The extension determines the output type (e.g. ".pdf" for a PDF file, ".jpg" for a JPEG image, etc.). naps2.console -o "F:\scan.pdf".
