Fossil’s Gen 6 Wellness Edition comes pre-loaded with Wear OS 3. Other Gen 6 designs from us are still being manufactured as well and are getting assembled with Wear OS 3 this fall. However, there is existing inventory already built and on store shelves that are preloaded with Wear OS 2.
Oct 23, 2021 · Have my Gen 6 also for a week now, but in the same period gen 6 has consistently given me relatively more battery life. Battery life on Gen 6 is the same as GW4 when all features are turned on, but since GW4 uses qi charging, it takes substantially longer to charge than the Gen 6. I'd rather charge my device for 20 mins everyday than 1.5 hours.
Oct 1, 2021 · I got my Gen 6 yesterday, first Wear OS device too! Where did you find the Fossil Pixel style watch face? I'm using one from Facer but worried they may not be optimised and cause higher battery drain. First cycle has been shocking, but do know it can take time to settle down, so will wait and see. And reading some of the reviews I have seen online, it is clear not everyone knows how to use their smartwatch, which means updating their device. So before giving my review, I will use my review to educate people. First, plug your smartwatch into your charger.
Jun 30, 2022 · Watching this I just noticed the new Gen6 Hybrid has the exact same 2 circular charging rings that have been the bane of many Fossil WearOS Gen4-5 smartwatch owners...this is coming out after the Gen6 WearOS smartwatch where they actually fixed the charging ring issue by making the rings half circles instead of full circles.
Oct 20, 2022 · for the record, I have a Pixel 6 and Fossil gen 6 smartwatch. I've been using smartwatches since the first Moto360 back in 2014. after tapping 30 times (or 30 seconds) on the "up to date" screen on the watch, the wearOS 3.0 software began to download.

Well, if you're going to use it as a "backup" sounds good. Fossil announced that this will be his last smartwatch with Wear OS. Personally, I love my Fossil Gen6. Aesthetically I like it more than my PW2. Unfortunately, the Fossil battery is terrible. I use it for more formal occasions. Google bought the smartwatch division of Fossil.
