Sep 4, 2021 · MISSING! I went to the post office to replace my driving licence back on 21st July 2021. I unexpectedly had to move house on 15th August 2021 so I set up Royal Mail to redirect all of my mail to my new address. My old LL text me saying I have post at the old address, which I suspect may be my driving licence.

My husband is applying for a new photocard driving licence, and the form asks for the Photocard number. Does this mean his driving licence number, or the number on the bottom right-hand side on the back of his existing photocard licence?
Jan 1, 2015 · 1 January 2015 at 3:45PM. The long and the short of it is I moved house the other month, and forgot to send off the slip from my V5C to get the address changed. I've been merrily driving around for the last couple of months or so with my old house address still registered against the vehicle. Now, normally I wouldn't be too worried about this.
Oct 8, 2018 · Im panicking....forgot to change my address on my licence to my new address (moved November 2017). Tried to change it today online and had to phone them as it wouldn't process online. They said "oh we have a system problem with regards to your online application". My partner managed his fine online today!
Apr 15, 2022 · The online licence renewal with passport access won't work with any passport issued from around 2019 onwards but they won't tell you this. Mine didn't and I had to renew my driving licence manually in the post. Mrs K renewed her licence online end of last year with passport issued early 2021 - no problem! Mar 31, 2021 · I renewed my 'over 70' driving licence recently. The DVLA even enclosed an envelope to return my old licence, but they forgot to put a stamp on it so it didn't get returned! One slight query. The British driving licence has now got rid of the loathed EU flag, but instead says UK.
Nov 7, 2018 · Impossible To Change Address with DVLA. I am having a ridiculous time trying to change my address with the DVLA (Road Tax and Driving Licence). It is saying I need a government Gateway ID. I save all stuff like that, and I only have 2 long numbers saved, and it's not accepting those. It's saying it should be numbers and letters.
Feb 7, 2013 · The only things on the list I can provide are a driving licence, and subsiquently a passport once I get it renewed. The DVLA site doesn't list utility bills as a form of ID. The only forms of ID I have are my driving licence and out-of-date passport. I do have my birth certificate somewhere, but most places don't accept this any longer.
Jun 19, 2023 · The last few times members of my family have renewed their driving licences (expiry, change of address, etc) we haven't bothered sending the old one back. Instead we've had the licences humanely destroyed locally. None of us have had a visit from the driving licence police, yet.....
