What exactly is a Tier-1/2/3 college in India? General Advice. I've seen a couple of profile evaluation posts on this sub from Indian applicants. Being an Indian myself, I struggled to wrap my head around what it exactly means to come from a Tier-1 college? Is it just IITs? Is it IITs+NITs?
This will be the biggest difference in Tier 1 vs Tier 3 college. Many people when they compare, they don't compare average to average. Rather they compare the topper of tier 3 to below average or average student of tier 1.
